Great advice Shawn...I'm clear on the "one legged pivot"...my question is do I pivot around the left heel and (slightly) raise my left toes thru impact?

Hi Shawn, Good stuff as always. One question. For the start of the down swing, is the first move the fall into the left side or is it like the Hogan move of keeping the right hip in it's positon and forcing the left side around? I guess its the same feel, just different images to get it done? Thanks. Tim

Not quite;
You want to feel full contact with the ground with the feet...imagine you are on the edge of a cliff 500 feet up and the ball is on a 500 foot long tee; the wind is blowing hard at your back...how do you swing the club through the ball with the most power possible from the least amount of effort possible? :)

Another amazing question! I like to think that the top of the backswing is a position where you have already fallen back into the left heel; with the leverage from the right and the returning motion of the left side reacting from the intensity of the arms falling clears the left hip out of the way and allows the arms full access to the target; same gliding clearing feel as in the one leg drill; so once the fall has been completed into the left heel, the downswing IS A BRACED ONE LEG SWING.

Great comment again bud! It is about communicating in a language that everybody understands; since they were talking "Weight Shift" I try to speak their language; if they talk pressure, then I talk pressure; this pressure is generated by both weight (gravity pulling the body weight down through the feet) and the inertia of the arm swing.
