wisgolfer101 02.13.10 @ 1:05 pmThe xd’s are already nearly 2 years old. I’d personally recommend the 09 series burners.
Are you sure you want taylormade though?
MicrowavedHamster 02.13.10 @ 2:37 pmR7 cgb !
best irons!
you should try titleist ap 1 or 2s depending on how much you wanna spend
or the new callaway x irons
eeuanwilsonn 02.13.10 @ 5:06 pmwell boys (n’ gals) all I can say is “buy them”.
goonerdotcom 02.13.10 @ 5:26 pmI’m not a pro and neither a hack. I start off the season ( after a Canadian winter) at around a 14 handicap and end off at around a 10. I’m a small built guy, mid 30s, and a average athlete. I can hit these irons STRAIGHT with 10 to 15 more yards from 4 to 6 and about 8 to 5 y the rest of the way. I had a to crank my (brand name) 5 iron to get 173/175 y, with this 5iron I get 185y (sometimes pure carry).
i would say the r7 cgb.
ToldYouImGood 02.13.10 @ 7:24 pmi want your job
TheGrottonGolfCo 02.13.10 @ 7:39 pmHey. I had some of these but didnt like them that much, felt heavy. Just got the burner 09 irons though and love them! I got them on gimmugolf (dot) com for just $699 for your info, but there are loads of great deals out there!
riceboy78 02.13.10 @ 8:48 pmi’m looking at a set of these right now but am not sure i shoud go for these or the r7 cgb irons. I’m roughly an 18 handicap using my TaylorMade T200 irons.
which of these 2 sets would you recommend?
leafs4ever2006 02.13.10 @ 10:49 pmYou want them to feel heavy. That is what gives you feel in an iron. Also it helps you recognize the position of your cluhead, during the swing.
